07.29.09 - The official site for A Perfect Getaway has posted some clips from the film featuring Milla -- see Trail Map, Videos. One more clip can be seen here (Clip #3).

07.28.09 - Milla is one of the featured artists in a global campaign titled "tck tck tck: Time for Climate Justice" addressing climate change headed by Bob Geldof. The campaign features a We Are The World-style collaborative single recording a reworded version of Midnight Oil's 1987 protest song Beds are Burning. The single will be released as a free music download from September both to raise awareness and act as a "giant digital petition" by those who download it. A teaser video showing several artists (including Milla) in the recording studio has also been released.

From Modelinia July 27, 2009 (video and interview to follow):

What's better than one model on a shoot? Two models!

Modelinia had the pleasure of hanging with Joy Bryant at Milla Jovovich's house in California. Milla invited her trainer, Robin Shou, over to show off her new workout, which includes cardio, boxing, sticks, and swords. Oh, my!

Stay tuned for the full video from Modelinia, but you can look forward to Joy interviewing Milla about her Model Turned experience, as she's spread her wings to include acting, motherhood, designer, and musician. "When I was a little girl, I only wanted to be three things: an actress, an astronaut, and the girl that pushed the cashier buttons at Ralphs," said Milla. "Obviously the next logical career move is cashiering."

07.17.09 - Vogue (UK) August 1988, Vogue (Italy) March 1998 (4), People (US) June 22, 2009:

07.14.09 - A Perfect Getaway release date update from Director David Twohy's blog (July 13, 2009):

The marketing mavens at Universal have decided to move up A PERFECT GETAWAY by one week, from 8/14 to 8/7. Main reason: The 14th was always a traffic jam, what with four other wide releases opening the same day. Sure, they were all different movies, but somebody was bound to cannabilize someone else.

Personally, I think it's a good chess move. The PG-13 techno-feast that is G.I. JOE opens that weekend, and to drop a twisty R-rated thriller on top of it could prove good counter-programming. (Notice I said "could." We'll know for sure soon enough.) It also gives us a little breathing room before INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS drops on the 8/21.

Keep checking back: I'll be posting the APG international release dates soon, as well as bitching about Lionsgate and how they blew THE ARRIVAL Blu-ray release.
